This Cookie Policy has been prepared to inform you, under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (the “Law”), about the use of cookies on Kartex Makina’s (“we” or “us”) website, kartexm.com, taking into account the Guide on Cookie Practices (Çerez Uygulamaları Hakkında Rehber, the “Guide”) published by the Personal Data Protection Authority. The data controller’s trade name and contact details are set out in our Privacy Notice.

What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files that a website you visit places on your device through your browser. By duration, cookies are classified as session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (kept on your device until they expire or you delete them); by the party placing them, as first-party (the website you visit) and third-party cookies; and by purpose, as strictly necessary, functional, analytics and advertising/marketing cookies.
Cookies for visitors
No cookies are placed on your browser when you visit the visitor-facing pages of our website, move between pages or submit the contact/quote form. Our website also does not use similar technologies, such as pixels or fingerprinting, to identify or track visitors or analyze their behavior.
The WhatsApp, phone and email links on our website only open the relevant app or service when you click them. If you click the WhatsApp link, the WhatsApp service that opens is subject to its own cookie and privacy policies.
Strictly necessary cookies for admin panel users
The cookies below are placed only on the browsers of persons who use the admin panel login screen or log in to the admin panel, and only when the relevant action is performed. All of them are first-party cookies; they are not shared with third parties and are not used for marketing or tracking. In the cookie names, {hash} stands for a fixed value generated from the website’s address that is the same for all users, and {user ID} stands for the admin panel user’s user number on the website.
Session and authentication cookies
- wordpress_sec_{hash} or wordpress_{hash}: Authenticates the user logging in to the admin panel and prevents unauthorized access to it. Session cookie; deleted when you close your browser. If “Remember Me” (“Beni hatırla”) is ticked on the login screen, it is kept for 14 days.
- wordpress_logged_in_{hash}: Indicates that a session is open and which user opened it. Kept for the same period as the authentication cookie above.
- wordpress_test_cookie: When the login screen is opened, checks whether the browser accepts cookies. Session cookie.
- wp_lang: If a language is selected on the login screen, remembers the selected language. Session cookie.
Admin panel preference and action cookies
- wp-settings-{user ID} and wp-settings-time-{user ID}: Remember the interface preferences the user has set in the admin panel (for example, the editor view or whether panels are open or closed). Kept for 1 year.
- wp-saving-post: Confirms that saving content in the admin panel has been completed. Kept for up to 1 day.
- wp-resetpass-{hash}: Ensures that a password reset is completed securely. Session cookie.
- wordpress_rec_{hash}: Used only when WordPress recovery mode is used, to give the administrator secure access to that mode. Kept for up to 1 week.
Maintenance preview cookie
- kartex_onizleme: While our website is closed to visitors due to maintenance or construction work, remembers the preview access of persons authorized to view the unpublished version of the website. Used only during maintenance periods and only for authorized persons; its retention is limited to the maintenance period.
As part of WordPress’s normal operation, the admin panel may also temporarily keep certain interface preferences and unsaved drafts in the browser’s local storage. This information is used only to make the admin panel work.
Legal ground
The processing of personal data through admin panel cookies is based on Article 5(2)(f) of the Law, that is, our legitimate interest in managing the website securely. Under the criteria in the Guide, these cookies are strictly necessary for a service explicitly requested by the user (logging in to the admin panel, resetting a password, saving content, previewing the website) (Criterion B). According to the Guide, explicit consent is not required for cookies of this kind. The persistent authentication cookie is used only if the user personally ticks “Remember Me.”
Why we do not ask for cookie consent
Cookie consent (a cookie banner or cookie preferences panel) is needed for cookies that rely on explicit consent. Since our website places no cookies at all on visitors, and the cookies used only for admin panel users are strictly necessary, there is no cookie for which explicit consent must be obtained. For this reason, our website does not ask for cookie consent. Because, under the Guide, information about cookies must be provided regardless of the legal ground relied upon, this information is provided through this policy.
How to manage cookies
You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Since no cookies are placed on visitors, blocking cookies does not affect your use of our website. Admin panel users, however, cannot log in to the admin panel if they block cookies.
